Product Remarks

Please note that each handle is unique and may exhibit distinct variations, such as differences in the hue or color of the buffalo horn, which is part of its authentic, handcrafted character.

Warranty

Each knife is covered by a lifetime guarantee against obvious manufacturing defects. For example, if the handle comes loose or cracks after a few weeks of proper use, or if the blade develops a crack along the edge or blade spine. These issues are rare, but they can occur. In such cases, we will offer you an exchange for the same product or a refund. As every case is different, it is at our discretion to assess whether our lifetime guarantee against obvious manufacturing defects applies.

After-Sales Service

Frequently Asked Questions

When should you use a 400-grit stone?

Only when the blade needs it: a small nick, broken tip, angle to correct, or an edge so dull that a 1000 grit would take too long to reshape. This coarse grit removes metal quickly, allowing you to rebuild the bevel. Once the edge has been recreated, move to a medium grit to remove deep scratches, then refine. However, for the routine maintenance of a knife in good condition, a 400 grit stone is not necessary.

Can a 400-grit stone damage a Japanese blade?

If used wisely. Its rapid abrasion is precisely what makes it useful for restoring a cutting edge, but it removes metal faster than a fine grit. Therefore, reserve it for repairs rather than regular maintenance, use light pressure, and check the angle frequently. Once the repair is done, quickly move on to a finer grit. Used this way, with moderation, it extends the life of a knife rather than wearing it out prematurely.
