Étui saya en bois pour couteau japonais gyuto 240 mm — profil complet de la pièce

This saya for a 240 mm Gyuto Japanese knife is handcrafted in Montreal by the Maku workshop, which specializes in woodworking for cutlery accessories. Designed to protect the blade during storage or transport, it fits the shape of a 240 mm gyuto and preserves the knife's edge while preventing contact with other objects.

Made from solid wood, this saya features a distinctive natural grain and a simple finish that highlights the material. The wood is carefully shaped and polished to achieve a precise fit around the blade. As each piece is made individually, slight variations in color or grain may appear, reflecting the unique character of each saya.

This type of sheath is particularly useful for protecting a Japanese knife when stored in a drawer, carried in a bag, or used in a professional environment. It also limits the blade's exposure to moisture or accidental impacts.

It is easy to use: the blade is gently slid into the opening provided until it is fully protected. It is recommended that only clean, dry blades be inserted in order to preserve the interior of the saya and prevent moisture buildup.
