The Sekishin GTU-05 is a Japanese spatula with a wide blade designed to efficiently flip and handle hamburgers, patties, cuts of meat, and other foods cooked on a griddle, plancha, or skillet. Weighing 204 g, it offers a stable grip while remaining easy to control during service.
Its stainless steel blade is 77 mm wide, with a flat section approximately 81 mm long. Its relatively wide surface allows it to fully support food when lifting or flipping it. The edges of the blade are tapered to make it easier to slide under food and to loosen items that are slightly stuck to the cooking surface.
The GTU-05 features a satin finish and a black, Western-style handle secured by two rivets. An eyelet at the end of the handle also allows the spatula to be hung up when not in use. The raised joint between the handle and the blade helps keep your hand clear of the hot surface during use.
