Maku beeswax is designed for the care of wooden kitchen surfaces and accessories. Supplied by Maku, an artisan based in Saint-Hippolyte, Quebec, it is particularly suitable for cutting boards, butcher blocks, wooden utensils, and Japanese knife handles. The jar contains 150 ml.
When applied to wood, the wax nourishes and protects the surface while helping to prevent it from drying out. It is particularly well-suited for the periodic care of natural wood handles, which can gradually lose their finish through contact with water and regular use.
For a cutting board or knife handle, apply a small amount to a clean, dry surface, then spread it evenly with a cloth. After allowing the wax to soak in, wipe off any excess and lightly polish the surface. The frequency of application depends on usage and the condition of the wood.
This wax is a simple care product designed to maintain the good condition of wooden kitchen accessories and Japanese knives. It is intended for use on wood rather than for maintaining the blade itself.
