The Hitohira WB Saya Santoku 180 mm is a hō wood sheath designed to protect the blade of a Japanese Santoku-style knife measuring approximately 180 mm. Its lightweight construction from natural wood covers the cutting edge and sides of the blade during storage or transport, while minimizing contact with other utensils.

This version features a built-in magnetic retention system, which holds the blade more securely. The slot is designed for a blade thickness of approximately 4.5 mm. The wide, rounded profile matches the typical geometry of a Santoku, while the natural finish showcases the light grain of the hō wood.

In use, the magnetic system makes attaching and removing the saya quick and easy. It offers a practical solution for protecting a Japanese knife in a drawer, a case, or a carrying roll. However, since dimensions and profiles may vary from one knife to another, compatibility must be verified, particularly regarding the thickness of the spine, the height of the blade, and the curvature of the tip.

Hō wood must be kept dry. Avoid soaking the saya or leaving it in prolonged contact with moisture. Before storing the knife, clean and dry the blade thoroughly to minimize the risk of corrosion and warping of the wood.

Is there a refund policy? 
No refunds are accepted. The only exception concerns defective items (although our team checks every order with the utmost care). If you receive an item that appears to be defective, please notify us as soon as possible after receipt. In the event of damage caused by the carrier, please keep all items and original packaging for a possible inspection by the carrier. Items returned to Stay Sharp are at the buyer's expense. Items must be properly packaged to prevent any damage and must be fully insured. Please also provide us with the tracking number so that we can monitor the status of the shipment. Funds will not be refunded until we have received the items and confirmed that their condition is satisfactory.
